SCO Industry Ministers Adopted a Joint Document on Developing Cooperation in Cholpon-Ata

CHOLPON-ATA - A meeting of industry ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states was held in Cholpon-Ata. Following the meeting, a joint document was adopted aimed at strengthening industrial cooperation and expanding technological collaboration between the participating countries, Akchabar.kg reports.

During the meeting, Bakyt Sydykov, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, noted the need for closer coordination in the face of increasingly complex global economic processes. He stated that the current stage of international cooperation requires a systematic approach to the development of industrial policy, infrastructure, and production chains.

Meeting participants emphasized the importance of developing sustainable production systems, expanding scientific and technical partnerships, and technology exchange. Priority areas included the development of joint industrial cooperation strategies, interaction with special industrial zones, the introduction of advanced technologies, and the implementation of international industrial projects.

The document places particular emphasis on improving resource efficiency in production, developing environmentally friendly industries, and implementing modern technological solutions that meet international standards.

Furthermore, the parties noted the need to improve the legal framework for industrial cooperation and create transparent mechanisms for interaction between government agencies and the business community.

Following the discussions, the joint document was unanimously approved by the delegations of the SCO member states and became the main outcome of the SCO Industry Ministers' Meeting in Cholpon-Ata.
