Turkmen authorities discussed preparations for CA-Japan Summit with Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Japan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the special advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, Akihisa Nagashima, reports the state news agency TDH.

The parties discussed the significance of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue.

"This format serves as a platform for the development of both bilateral and regional cooperation in various fields," said the President of Turkmenistan, expressing his hope for the successful holding of the first Summit of Heads of State participating in the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced that Turkmenistan will take part in the World Expo 2025, which will be held in Japan. A special organizing committee has been established for this purpose.

The summit, as well as Turkmen-Japanese relations in the political-diplomatic and trade-economic spheres, were also discussed by the official with the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

He spoke about diversifying export routes for "blue fuel" and developing the relevant processing industry, according to TDH. It was noted that goods produced at industrial facilities built in cooperation with Japanese partners occupy a significant share of Turkmenistan’s exports.

On the same day, the special advisor also met with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. The diplomats discussed the country's participation in EXPO, which will be held in Osaka, Japan, and the organization of Turkmenistan’s National Day as part of the event.

Additionally, cooperation in the gas sector and chemical industry, as well as the work of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen Committees for Economic Cooperation, were also discussed.
