On May 17, Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Construction Committee under the President of Turkmenistan, met with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku, according to news.milli.az.
During the meeting, Orazov conveyed greetings from Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Azerbaijani leader. The Turkmen official also congratulated the Azerbaijani side on hosting the 13th session of the World Urban Forum.
The construction of a mosque in Fuzuli, which is being built at the initiative of the Turkmen side, was also discussed. President Aliyev thanked Turkmenistan for the project and stated that construction is ongoing. The two sides also discussed the progress of restoration work in the Karabakh region, where a large-scale reconstruction and development program has been implemented in recent years.
Following the meeting, Deryageldi Orazov confirmed his intention to visit Karabakh again and personally inspect the progress of projects being implemented there.
