Russia has again become the main foreign trade partner of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan reports.
According to the results of January-November 2022, the foreign trade turnover between Russia and Uzbekistan exceeded $8.3 billion, having increased by 26.5% compared to the same period in 2021, the Russian Embassy reports.
In second place in terms of trade was China with $8.1 billion.
It is noted that the basis of bilateral cooperation was the supply from Russia to Uzbekistan for a total of $5.5 billion. It is worth noting that exports increased by more than 17% compared to January-November 2021. Russia's purchases from Uzbekistan also grew 1.5 times to $2.8 billion.
Russia began to invest more in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan showed the best growth in the number of foreign direct investments in 2022, writes the Nova24.uz portal.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan, in turn, also buys imported goods most from China and Russia, respectively.
