In the period from January to September 2023, Uzbekistan significantly increased its import of passenger cars from China to 65,300 units, marking a 5.8-fold growth. These figures were disclosed by China's General Customs Administration.

It is worth noting that car imports in monetary terms also surged by 5.9 times, reaching $1.2 billion. The average price of a car increased by 2.4% to $18,600.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan expanded its import of electric vehicles (EVs) from China by 4.1 times, totaling 20,600 units. The price of a single electric vehicle reached around $22,200, marking a 12.6% increase compared to the previous year.
