TASHKENT - Since the beginning of the year, Uzbekistan has been visited by approximately 3 million tourists, a 37% increase, while tourism exports have increased by 48% to $1.1 billion, according to a presentation on the country's tourism potential presented to the President of Uzbekistan, Daryo.uz reports.

President Mirziyoyev has instructed that by 2030, Uzbekistan's tourist arrivals should reach 20 million foreign tourists, and by 2026, 12 million travelers should be served.

To achieve this, targeted programs must be implemented to increase the tourism potential of each region, taking into account its specific characteristics.

In 2026–2027, 31 master plans are planned to be implemented, over 40,000 new jobs will be created, the number of accommodation facilities will increase to 8,250, and the total number of tourist villages and tourist mahallas will increase to 84.

The state will support entrepreneurs in the tourism sector. Specifically, they will compensate up to 25% of the costs of attracting foreign tourists (but no more than 500 million soums) and provide incentives to companies organizing cultural and theatrical programs for guests. They will also help conduct practical courses for domestic and foreign service industry specialists.
