The National Leader of the Turkmen people and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is participating in the summit of heads of state of the Organisation of Turkic States. He has already held talks in Astana with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as reported by TDH.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of further deepening bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. They highlighted the need to intensify partnership within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States in various fields.
The interlocutors noted the positive dynamics in mutual trade and discussed the progress of several projects in the fields of energy, industry, transportation, logistics, and other areas.
"In Kazakhstan, you are known as the undisputed leader of Turkmenistan, one of the prominent statesmen of our time. You have made a significant contribution to the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. Therefore, I believe that your presence here and our meeting today have significant practical and political importance. Of course, we have much to discuss regarding the further development of cooperation between our countries. We are fraternal, neighboring states. There are no problems between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, only fraternal feelings," quoted the press service of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Head of Turkmenistan's highest body of national power, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in the 10th summit of the Turkic Council.
