China to help Tajikistan produce electric vehicles

As part of the official visit of the head of the upper house of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, to China, a ceremony was held for the signing of documents on private sector cooperation between the two countries, as reported by Asiaplustj.info.

The total value of the signed documents exceeded $400 million.

In particular, a Framework Agreement of $50 million was signed between Tajikistan's OAO "Azot" and China's "Rundjong Holding Group" for the modernization and increase of urea production to 180,000 tons per year at the specified plant.

Additionally, a Framework Agreement worth $300 million was signed between LLC "Asia Chemical" and "Rundjong Holding Group" for the construction of a new urea production facility in Tajikistan with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year.

The Memorandum of Agreement between LLC "Avesto Group" and China's "Jinchuen" for the organization, establishment, and management of a joint venture for the production of electric vehicles in Tajikistan with a production capacity of 1,500 automobiles per year amounts to $25 million.

Another $26 million represents the amount specified in the Memorandum between LLC "Marmari" and "Tadjong Interprice Management Consulting Co. Ltd." for the creation and operation of a joint logistics center on the territory of Tajikistan.
