Energy cooperation was discussed by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Russian President Vladimir Putin by telephone, the Kremlin press service reported.
The leaders of the two countries highly appreciated the achieved level of the Turkmen-Russian strategic partnership and discussed a number of issues of practical cooperation in the energy sector, the Orient portal reported.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Vladimir Mishustin is expected to visit Turkmenistan on January 19. He will head the Russian delegation at the status Turkmen-Russian business forum in Ashgabat. As part of the event, a grand opening of the exhibition facility for Russian manufacturers — the Trade House of Russia — is also planned.
As a result of the Turkmen-Russian business forum, it is planned to sign bilateral agreements.
