In Astana, a decision has been made to exclude the Taliban movement from the list of banned organizations in the country, stated the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov.

The country's authorities regularly review such a list for the purpose of its updating, clarified Smadiyarov to Kazinform.

"According to the resolutions of the UN Security Council... the Taliban movement is not included in the lists of organizations recognized by the UN Security Council as terrorist," said the representative of the diplomatic department.

Smadiyarov emphasized that Kazakhstan will strictly adhere to the decisions and resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council and the General Assembly.

Earlier, the President of Argentina, Javier Milei, announced efforts to include the Palestinian movement Hamas in the list of terrorists.
