Kazakh companies signed agreements and contracts worth $95 million during a trade and economic mission to Bishkek, held as part of the Second Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, reported 24.kg, citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration.

About 80 Kazakh companies from mechanical engineering, food production, construction, information technology and logistics took part. Talks focused on expanding exports, joint investment projects and direct business ties.

Among the deals, Kazakhstan’s Hyundai Trans Auto and Kyrgyzstan’s Trust Technologies agreed to cooperate on supplying passenger, special and commercial vehicles, as well as maintenance and servicing. QazTrade, Kazakhstan’s export development agency, signed memorandums with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and with Kyrgyz Agroholding to launch joint agro-industrial initiatives.

The forum also produced an agreement between the two countries’ largest cities. On October 30, Bishkek City Hall and the Almaty Akimat signed an action plan for 2026–2030 covering urban planning, transport, digitalization, housing and public utilities, as well as cultural, educational, youth and sports exchanges. The cities have been sisters since 1997, although the plan does not yet name specific projects or funding.

Bishkek and Astana aim to raise bilateral trade to $3 billion.
