On March 24, the International Jewelry Forum titled "At the Origins of the Treasures of Oxus" kicked off in Dushanbe.
The event is attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Kyrgyz Export Center, Akchabar.kg reports.
According to the Kyrgyz Export Center, exports of Kyrgyz jewelry continue to show steady growth, Akchabar.kg reports. In 2023, export volume reached $169.8 thousand, with Kazakhstan, China, and Uzbekistan as the main markets. In 2024, this figure surged to $4.4 million, with Russia, Hong Kong, and India becoming the key export destinations.
The forum also brings together representatives from Malaysia, Italy, Singapore, China, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. Kyrgyzstan’s participation in the event contributes to strengthening cooperation with partners in Central Asia and beyond, while also promoting Kyrgyz jewelry on the global stage.
