The cost of food products in Kyrgyzstan is the lowest among comparable cities in Kazakhstan and Russia. This is evidenced by the monitoring of food prices conducted by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry of Kyrgyzstan, reports Akchabar.
The cost of food in Kyrgyzstan is 12.02% lower than in Kazakhstan and 14.44% lower than in Russia. This makes Kyrgyz food products the most affordable for the population compared to neighboring countries. These results highlight the competitiveness of the local agricultural sector and the successful pricing policy.
It is noted that during the monitoring period, there was a slight weekly increase in prices of 0.82% in Kyrgyzstan and a decrease in Kazakhstan and Russia by 3.4% and 1.7%, respectively. However, even with these fluctuations, food products in Kyrgyzstan remain the most affordable for consumers.
