The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, called for rational and thoughtful management of migration issues. This was stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan following Mukhriddin's participation in a meeting of the heads of foreign ministries of Central Asian countries and Russia, Ritmeurasia reports.

"The further development of bilateral and multilateral migration cooperation in the format of Central Asia - Russia is mutually beneficial for socio-economic development. In this regard, the necessity of creating appropriate conditions for labor resources and ensuring their rights protection was emphasized," the Tajik Foreign Ministry's statement said.

Additionally, Mukhriddin stated that "against the backdrop of rapid changes in global politics and economics, open and respectful dialogue between the countries of Central Asia and Russia acquires special significance."

The meeting of the heads of the foreign ministries of the Central Asian states and Russia took place in Minsk after the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS. The Russian Foreign Ministry previously reported that the participants of the negotiations discussed the progress of implementing the agreements reached at the first Russia - Central Asia summit, which took place on October 14, 2022, in Astana. The parties also exchanged views on key international and regional issues. Special attention was paid to environmental issues and prospects for cooperation in this area.
