Tajikistan is a priority for Iran – Iranian energy minister

Iran's Energy Minister Abbas Aliabadi stated that the Iranian leadership is striving to actively expand cooperation with regional states, giving priority to partnership with Tajikistan, Sputnik Tajikistan reports.

Aliabadi emphasized that regulating trade agreements between the countries and strengthening infrastructure are becoming priority tasks for the successful development of cooperation. The Minister of Energy highlighted that there are prerequisites for concluding a beneficial trade agreement between Tehran and Dushanbe.

An important step in this direction has been the positive and productive negotiations between senior officials of both countries, aimed at facilitating customs procedures and creating favorable conditions for the development of economic and trade flows. Aliabadi noted that Iran and Tajikistan have established conditions for increasing trade volumes between the two countries and expanding economic and technical partnership.

The Minister stated that Tehran and Dushanbe have all the necessary opportunities to enhance technical and engineering cooperation. He pointed out that the shared history and cultural values of the two countries contribute to strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships.
