A meeting dedicated to economic cooperation among the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held at the Executive Committee of the CIS. The event was attended by representatives of the scientific community, experts, and specialists who discussed the prospects for integration development and making proposals for the CIS Economic Development Strategy until 2030. This was reported by the press service of the Executive Committee, Avesta.tj reports.
Opening the session, the Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, Ilkhom Nematov, emphasized the importance of expert proposals, initiatives to expand trade, and critical comments regarding existing barriers: "We are ready to take your ideas into account, discuss them in specialized structures, and submit them for consideration by the highest CIS bodies," he noted.
The meeting addressed the current state of economic interaction within the CIS, its issues, and prospects. Key topics included digitalization, technical regulation, ecology, industrial cooperation, energy, mutual trade, and investment cooperation.
The Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan, Dzhurahonzoda Saodat Dzhurahonz, participated in the discussion, evaluating interregional cooperation and providing information on the status and prospects of Tajikistan's economic relations with its CIS partners.
Following the meeting, experts identified the most significant challenges and areas that require priority development in the coming years.
