Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia will establish a Business Council. This was announced following a meeting between Tajikistan's First Deputy Prime Minister, Holikzoda Hikmatullo, and the Chairman of the Saudi Chambers of Commerce, Hassan Al-Huwaizi, held in Riyadh during the 28th International Investment Conference, Pressa.tj reports.
According to the press service of Tajikistan's State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia in the investment sector. They also exchanged views on ways to expand these relations.
It was noted that the foundation for effective cooperation could be the implementation of significant and promising infrastructure and production projects, including those of regional importance, in the areas of green energy, industrial development, mineral processing, tourism, and agriculture.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and the Saudi Chambers of Commerce. The signing of this document is considered an important step in further developing cooperation between entrepreneurs and investors from the two countries, according to the press service.
