First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Abdurakhmon Alamshozoda held a meeting with a delegation of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs headed by Deputy Head of the Main Criminal Investigation Department Andrei Shurov, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reported.
The parties discussed expanding cooperation in the law enforcement sphere.
“During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime, ensuring security and exchanging information,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reported.
The participants of the meeting confirmed their intention to develop cooperation in the field of searching for fugitive criminals and combating illegal migration. Earlier, similar negotiations were held in Moscow, where specific steps were outlined to coordinate the efforts of the two countries.
The parties expressed confidence that strengthening the partnership will help to more effectively counter modern security challenges.
