Tashkent to host foreign ministers of Central Asia and the Persian Gulf countries

The second meeting of the foreign ministers of the strategic dialogue "Council for Cooperation between Arab States of Central Asia and the Persian Gulf" will take place in Tashkent on April 15. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

It is expected that delegates from Central Asian countries - Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and member states of the Council - UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Oman will participate in the event.

The meeting will discuss the implementation of agreements reached at the first summit of the leaders of the Council for Cooperation between Arab States of Central Asia and the Persian Gulf, held on July 19, 2023, in Jeddah. Specifically, the discussion will focus on the development of cooperation in politics, security, trade and economic, investment, transportation and communication, cultural and humanitarian activities, and environmental protection.

Opinions will also be exchanged on preparations for the next high-level meeting in the format of the "Council for Cooperation between Arab States of Central Asia and the Persian Gulf," which is planned to be held in Samarkand in 2025.
