King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa presented the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the highest award of the kingdom - the Order named after Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa of the first degree, reports Orient.tam.
The head of Turkmenistan was awarded this award for his great personal contribution to the strengthening and development of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, the ongoing constructive policy that contributes to maintaining peace, stability and security on a regional and international scale, the report says.
Expressing gratitude for the honor, the President of Turkmenistan stressed that he considers this high award as a sign of deep respect for Turkmenistan and its people, a symbol of the inviolability of the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries.
The award ceremony took place after the Turkmen-Bahraini summit talks, which took place on February 22 in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, where Berdimuhamedov was on an official visit.
