The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 20 to expand cooperation in strengthening the country's education system and promoting sustainable development practices, Orient.tm reports.
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a framework for cooperation between UNDP and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan to improve the effectiveness of the public education service delivery system to the population.
The agreement emphasizes the commitment to enhancing educational programs in Turkmenistan, focusing on integrating human rights and gender equality principles, supporting climate change initiatives, and promoting healthy lifestyles through educational institutions.
A key focus of the Memorandum is the integration of digital technologies and innovative solutions into the education system. The partnership aims to create a more efficient and inclusive education system that better meets the needs of the population.
"This Memorandum of Understanding is an important step towards improving digital education and sustainable development in Turkmenistan," noted Narine Saakyan, UNDP Resident Representative in Turkmenistan.
