Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan strengthen interregional cooperation at large-scale forum

The city of Turkmenabat hosted the opening ceremony of the 2nd Turkmen-Uzbek Interregional Forum, bringing together representatives from both countries to enhance bilateral economic and cultural cooperation, reports Turkmenportal.tm.

The event featured a national exhibition of Uzbek goods and a series of thematic conferences aimed at fostering partnerships across various sectors.

Key areas of focus at the forum included trade and economic cooperation, cultural exchange, and humanitarian interaction. The exhibition showcased pavilions from companies representing diverse sectors, ranging from mining and metallurgy to household appliances and food production.

During the business program, participants discussed promising areas of collaboration, including agriculture, energy, the chemical industry, engineering, and pharmaceuticals. Both sides expressed particular interest in establishing joint ventures and exchanging innovative technological solutions.

The forum’s cultural program included a joint concert by artists from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan at the State Music and Drama Theater of Lebap Province, highlighting the deep spiritual and cultural ties between the two nations.

The forum underscored the commitment of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to strengthening intergovernmental relations and exploring new forms of mutually beneficial cooperation.
