Turkmenistan prepares for summit of trio of Central Asian leaders

Active preparations are underway for a trilateral summit between Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. In the Turkmen capital Ashgabat The meeting will be attended by Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Emomali Rahmon, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the TV channel "MIR 24" reports.

The summit is scheduled to take place in early August of this year, and the information was revealed during an online meeting between the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and his counterparts from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin and Bakhtiyor Saidov.

Currently, Turkmenistan is working on drafting documents that will be signed during the meeting of the heads of states, and diplomats are holding separate meetings.

On July 25, representatives from Turkmenistan's State Customs Service met with their counterparts from the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan to discuss issues related to customs notification of goods and transport.

Also, on July 26, representatives from the President's Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and border and customs services of Tajikistan visited Turkmenistan for a familiarization visit.

Additionally, officials are exploring ways to enhance bilateral relations in the medical, agricultural, industrial, scientific, and educational fields.

Recently, President Berdimuhamedov approved the Turkmen part of the joint intergovernmental commission with Uzbekistan on matters of border delimitation and demarcation.
