Representatives of the Turkmen private sector have been invited to the B5+1 business session, which will take place on September 17, 2026, in Ashgabat jointly with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). Participants will discuss the state of the business environment, regional economic cooperation, and opportunities for expanding business ties during an informal roundtable, Turkmenportal.com reported.
The B5+1 is a business platform bringing together entrepreneurs, business associations, and government agencies from Central Asian countries and the United States. The initiative complements the C5+1 diplomatic format, focusing on issues arising from the private sector.
For Turkmenistan, private business participation in the B5+1 is important primarily as an opportunity to strengthen regional economic integration. Dialogue with entrepreneurs from Central Asia and the United States can contribute to market expansion, attract investment, and exchange experience in business regulation. For a country with a traditionally closed economy, such platforms also create additional channels for direct interaction between businesses and government agencies.
