Uzbekistan has commitment to support Afghanistan in mining, trade, economic and political sectors said the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khodjaev, in a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate for Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, in Tashkent, the Kabul Times reports.
He said his country was ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in areas such as mining, trade, agricultural development, and facilitating goods transit and transportation. He also spoke about strengthening of trade relations between the two countries, highlighting the establishment of a trade center in Termez as a significant achievement.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi praised Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the country in various fields and underscored the long-standing and positive relationship between the two nations. He reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to further strengthening and expanding bilateral relations between Kabul and Tashkent in various fields.
The deputy PM also highlighted the investment opportunities in Afghanistan, assuring that the Islamic Emirate is committed to offering comprehensive support and facilitation to all investors, particularly Uzbek investors.
The visit is expected to further improve and strengthen the relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in various fields.
According to the statement, the Deputy PM Hanafi and his accompanying delegation visited Uzbekistan, at the official invitation of that country, to discuss the consolidation and development of political, social, economic, and cultural relations between the two countries.
