The Afghan government has returned 67 oil tankers to Uzbekistan due to their low quality, the Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) stated, Nova24.uz reports.
ANSA is taking measures to counter the import of substandard oil. They emphasized that this is the first such incident in the history of oil supplies. Afghan officials added that the country is currently implementing a program to prevent the import of low-quality fuel and oil.
In response to the Afghan Government's statement, the spokesperson for Uzbekneftegaz, Mumin Ibodov, dismissed the claim as unfounded. He also mentioned that the company will release an official statement soon.
