Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan held meeting on bilateral cooperation

The 10th session of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan took place in Cholpon-Ata. The Uzbekistani government delegation was led by Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov.

President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov, received the Uzbekistani delegation and noted that unprecedented positive changes have occurred in Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations in almost all areas of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that it is necessary to ensure the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, paying special attention to further expanding the multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, especially in the areas of trade, economy, investment, energy, transportation, water, agriculture, and interregional cooperation.

The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan highlighted the historical decisions made during the state visit of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan in January 2023. He particularly emphasized the completion of the process of demarcation and delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.
