President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Steve Daines, a member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee and a senator from the state of Montana, United States of America. This was reported by the official Turkmen press, according to Orient.tm.
The American senator expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the time allocated for the meeting and emphasized that the United States attaches great importance to developing mutually beneficial cooperation with neutral Turkmenistan.
The parties noted the active nature of the political dialogue between the two countries and discussed the trade and economic sphere.
In this context, special attention was given to the significant contribution of the Turkmenistan–US Business Council.
Turkmenistan has maintained productive cooperation with major American companies for many years, which have participated in implementing significant projects in the country.
The parties also highlighted the wide-ranging opportunities for further development of bilateral cooperation.
