During an official visit to Kuwait and participation in the International Conference on "Strengthening International Cooperation in Combating Terrorism and Creating Effective Border Security Mechanisms – The Kuwait Stage of the 'Dushanbe Process'," Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon gave an interview to Dr. Fatima al-Salem, Director General of the Kuwait News Agency, Avesta reports.

In the discussion, President Rahmon elaborated on the current state and future of Tajik-Kuwaiti relations, emphasizing cooperation within international and regional organizations, particularly in the joint fight against terrorism and extremism.

He noted that next year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Kuwait, expressing hope for celebrating this milestone with further successes in expanding bilateral cooperation.

The president also expressed satisfaction with the growing partnership in political, trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian areas, highlighting that the International Conference on Combating Terrorism in Kuwait serves as a prominent example of the two nations' collaborative efforts.

Additionally, the interview touched on critical climate and water resource issues. Rahmon spoke about Tajikistan’s global initiatives on water resource management and climate, underscoring its active role in promoting the international agenda in these areas.

President Rahmon’s official visit to Kuwait, participation in the conference, and other events—including an exhibition showcasing Tajikistan's investment and tourism potential and the presentation of the Arabic translation of academician Babajan Gafurov’s book Tajiks - received significant media coverage in Kuwait and other regions.
