DUSHANBE - Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda met with Pakistani Federal Minister of Energy Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, during which the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its further expansion, Avesta.tj reports.
The talks focused on cooperation in the energy sector, which remains a key area of partnership between the two countries. The parties discussed the progress of the CASA-1000 regional energy project and emphasized the importance of further coordination for its successful completion.
Kohir Rasulzoda noted that Tajikistan possesses significant hydropower potential and is consistently developing clean electricity production, viewing energy as an important factor in sustainable economic growth and regional cooperation.
In addition to energy, the parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation in industry, agriculture, agricultural processing, transport and logistics, tourism, and the rational use of natural resources.
Following the meeting, representatives of Tajikistan and Pakistan confirmed their intention to strengthen bilateral ties and develop cooperation in a wide range of areas of mutual interest to both countries.
