The President of Kyrgyzstan has called for active measures, including appeals to the UN Security Council and General Assembly, to demand an end to violence and ensure conflict resolution in the Middle East.

In his speech, President Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity within the Muslim world amid the ongoing crisis, as reported by Eurasiatoday.ru.

“With the onset of winter, it is necessary to urge the government of Israel to open border crossings for the delivery of humanitarian aid and to ensure access to the population of Gaza,” Japarov said at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit in Riyadh. However, the conflict risks continuing, as Trump has pledged to maintain support for Israel.

At the summit, Japarov took the opportunity to ask the leadership of Saudi Arabia to increase funding for housing construction and to allocate fifty million dollars for the building of 38 schools in Kyrgyzstan. The Saudis promised maximum assistance in all projects.

Concluding his speech, the President of Kyrgyzstan urged the leaders of the participating countries to do everything possible to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and assured that Kyrgyzstan is ready to support any efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.

After the session, the head of Kyrgyzstan departed for Baku to participate in the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
