Kyrgyzstan ranked third in the region for incoming air freight volumes, according to a World ACD report presented at the Central Asia Air Cargo Summit, Today.kg reports.
For the first ten months of 2024, Kyrgyzstan accounted for 14% of Central Asia's incoming air cargo. Kazakhstan led with 67%, while Uzbekistan claimed second place with 15%, reflecting a 21% increase from the previous year. Turkmenistan and Tajikistan each handled about 4% of the region’s air freight.
The key destinations for outgoing air freight from Central Asia included Turkey, Germany, the UAE, and Belgium. The largest incoming shipments originated from airports in the UAE, Turkey, Germany, the UK, and Spain.
