A new project of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the WHO European Regional Office (WHO/Europe) titled "Improving Water Supply, Sanitation, Hygiene, and Health through the Implementation of the Protocol on Water and Health" has been launched in Turkmenistan, reports Orient.tm.
The event was attended by experts from various fields, including healthcare, water supply, and environmental protection in Turkmenistan.
Participants discussed the activities planned within the framework of the project and its final outcomes.
They reviewed the current situation in water supply, sanitation, and hygiene in Turkmenistan.
These joint efforts provide an opportunity to discuss how intersectoral goals can be effectively set in the context of the Protocol on Water and Health, including examples from other countries in the European region.
