Prime Minister of Pakistan spoke out for speedy completion of TAPI gas pipeline construction

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and connectivity and reaffirmed his country's commitment to the speedy completion of the TAPI pipeline construction, reports Orient.tm.

He made this statement during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, who is visiting Islamabad.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the holding of the 3rd round of bilateral Pakistan-Turkmenistan political consultations led by the foreign ministers and noted the need for regular interaction within institutional mechanisms between the two countries. He also stressed the need to expand trade, economic, investment, and cultural relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.

The Prime Minister warmly recalled his meeting in Astana with the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, earlier this month and said he looks forward to welcoming the national leader of the Turkmen people in Pakistan, reports Radio Pakistan.
