The Taliban movement considers the parties in Afghanistan as one of the factors of destabilization of their system and that is why they prohibit their activities, Zakon.kz reports.

The activities of political parties are contrary to Sharia law and are banned in Afghanistan. This statement was made by O. Minister of Justice in the Taliban government, Abdul Hakim Ishakzai, TASS reports.

"The activity of political parties in Afghanistan is categorically prohibited, because they contradict Sharia norms and do not protect the interests of the people. In addition, the people of Afghanistan themselves do not need the activity of these parties either," Iskhakzai said.

The Taliban launched a large-scale operation to establish control over Afghanistan after the announcement by the United States in the spring of 2021 of the decision to withdraw its armed forces from there.

On August 15, the Taliban movement entered Kabul without a fight, and on September 7, the composition of the interim government was announced, the legitimacy of which has not yet been recognized by any country.
