Turkmenistan and Interpeace intend to develop cooperation

The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Vepa Hajiev, and the President of the International Organization for Peacebuilding, Itonde Kakoma, held a meeting on October 7 to discuss further cooperation, reports Turkmenportal.tm.

The parties discussed prospects for strengthening their partnership in peacebuilding, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in promoting peace initiatives and preventing conflicts, and expressing readiness for active participation in peacebuilding activities, according to the website of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan in Geneva.

Particular attention was given to the policy of neutrality, which has long been the foundation of Turkmenistan’s international relations.

Itonde Kakoma highlighted the importance of the neutrality policy for strengthening global security and stability, and expressed support for Turkmenistan’s efforts in the region.
