Projects for the development of tourism infrastructure were presented to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the aim of effectively utilizing and developing the existing tourism potential, increasing the number of tourist sites, and enhancing guest accommodation.

Infrastructure development is planned in the Shakhrisabz district of the Kashkadarya region and the Parkent district of the Tashkent region, whose picturesque mountain landscapes attract numerous tourists, especially in the spring-summer season.

The plans also include the establishment of hostels with lightweight structures on the Maidanak plateau in the Kashkadarya region, reprofiling existing buildings for trade and services, and landscaping the area.

One of the attractions for tourists is markets. However, as the head of the state noted, some markets are not attractive to tourists, lacking national character. In this regard, President Mirziyoyev instructed the development of projects for market complexes reflecting the national culture.

The importance of studying the relevant experiences of Turkey and Arab countries and involving foreign specialists in the design was emphasized.
