DUSHANBE - A protocol amending the agreement on the implementation of a project to simplify trade procedures in Central Asia was signed at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in Tajikistan, Avesta.tj reports.
The document was signed by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali and Director of the German Society for International Cooperation in Tajikistan Viktor Wetzel.
According to the agreement, the project's implementation period has been extended until 2029. The initiative covers five Central Asian countries and is additionally funded by Germany, as well as through mechanisms from the European Union, totaling €5.2 million.
The project aims to simplify trade procedures, develop transport and logistics potential, and improve the efficiency of the region's multimodal transport corridors.
