Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a working meeting with Narine Sahakyan, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Turkmenistan, Turkmenportal.com reported.

During the talks, the parties discussed key aspects of the strategic partnership and prospects for expanding joint projects. The central topic of the meeting was the implementation of the 2026–2030 Cooperation Framework, which covers digital transformation, modernization of the public administration system, environmental protection, and sustainable economic development.

The diplomats also exchanged views on identifying new priority areas of cooperation and confirmed their readiness to deepen the constructive dialogue.

Ashgabat's systemic dialogue with UN agencies is of strategic importance for Turkmenistan's socioeconomic modernization. Joint initiatives in digitalization and public administration contribute to increased transparency and effectiveness of state institutions.

In turn, the environmental component of the program serves the country's national interests in climate adaptation and sustainable resource use in Central Asia. Strengthening this cooperation allows Turkmenistan to implement advanced international standards while maintaining its commitment to sustainable development and a neutral foreign policy status.
