Turkmenistan and Malaysia expand legal framework in relations

Diplomats from Turkmenistan and Malaysia reaffirmed their mutual interest in continuing dialogue and expanding the legal framework for cooperation between the two countries. The positions of both sides on this and a broader range of issues in bilateral and multilateral cooperation were agreed upon during Turkmen-Malaysian inter-ministerial consultations, which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, reports Orient.tm.

The Turkmen delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Akhmet Gurbanov, while the Malaysian delegation was headed by Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dato Ahmad Rozian bin Abd Gani.

Both sides emphasized the importance of regular consultations between their foreign ministries to strengthen relations.

To implement the agreements reached, the participants discussed the possibility of organizing business forums, themed exhibitions, business missions, and increasing contacts between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of both countries.

Special attention was given to the humanitarian aspect of Turkmen-Malaysian relations. The parties expressed interest in deepening cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, tourism, and healthcare.
