TASHKENT - Uzbek manufacturers signed export contracts worth $20 million during an interregional forum held in Xi'an, China, from May 20 to 25, Daryo.uz reports.

The agreements were reached following business-to-business negotiations between business representatives from the two countries.

One of the forum's highlights was an exhibition under the national brand "Made in Uzbekistan," showcasing products from domestic manufacturers aimed at the Chinese market. The exhibit featured 42 export products, including processed foods, spices, margarine, dried fruits and vegetables, legumes, wine products, and other agricultural products.

According to the Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection of Uzbekistan, 28 types of products manufactured by 82 Uzbek enterprises are currently registered in China's state register. This allows companies to expand their presence in one of the world's largest markets and increase their supply volumes.

During the forum, Uzbek exporters reached cooperation agreements with several major Chinese trading companies, including Randesi, Sani, and Leato. These new contracts are expected to further boost bilateral trade and strengthen economic ties between the countries.

China remains Uzbekistan's largest trading partner. By the end of 2025, trade turnover between the two countries reached $17.2 billion, confirming the steady trend of expanding trade and economic cooperation.
