IT villages to be opened in all regions of Uzbekistan

During his visit to the Ministry of Digital Technologies, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan was presented with the work carried out in accordance with the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy, aimed at transforming the country into a regional IT hub.

The presentation included information on the development of specialized education. Over the past three years, more than 300 IT training centers have been opened. The number of young people who have undergone training and received certificates under the "One Million Programmers" project has reached 1.2 million. Additionally, 215,000 young people have completed international online courses and obtained certificates.

Continuing this effort, starting from the next year, a system for the annual selection, training, and preparation for the international labor market of 5,000 talented young people will be implemented. Training will commence in the Khorezm region as part of the "Successors of Al-Khwarizmi" project. Overall, the plan is to train and employ 300,000 young people based on programs that meet international standards.

The President was briefed on the IT Village complex built in the Nurabad district of the Samarkand region. This complex aims to involve students in grades 1-9 in the field of information technology and teach them basic IT skills.

The head of Uzbekistan instructed the creation of similar complexes in all regions of the country.
